Business Development Consultant

Overall Objective:

To successfully develop relationships with prospective clients to determine how we can add value and provide solutions to their business needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for achieving assigned revenue quota
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of new/additional business
  • Initiate introductory calls to and follow up with prospects to uncover and close new revenue opportunities
  • Follow-up with prospects to review proposed solutions, pricing, determine project start dates and obtain signed contracts
  • Work with consulting staff and solution architects to identify each customer’s business needs/expectations and to develop demonstrations, presentations, generate reports and gather data as needed to support the sales process
  • Participate in weekly status meetings
  • Participate and/or lead various business development and marketing events involving prospects/clients
  • Maintain Socius core competencies: client focus, knowledge and skills, driving results, communication, teamwork and relationships, personal excellence, business insight, leadership and coaching and developing others
  • Other duties as assigned by leader

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years ERP, CRM or software applications sales experience
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, accounting or related fields
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as part of a Microsoft Partner organization
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics (formerly Microsoft Business Solutions) applications
  • Background in accounting, finance, business or management
