Microsoft Dynamics AX Developer

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Socius is recruiting a highly motivated and experienced Dynamics AX Developer to join our award-winning firm. Our AX Developers successfully develop modifications, customizations, integrations and web based reports for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and other related products in mid-market sized businesses, resulting in a high level of client satisfaction. Primary Responsibilities:

Perform remote or on-site software customization/development services for client projects
Provide technical and functional knowledge of the Microsoft Dynamics development technologies for clients and functional consultants

Design and develop modifications to the standard Microsoft Dynamics AX application
Create and develop design specifications including gap/fit analysis documentation
Design and develop new custom programs designed to integrate with Dynamics AX
Design, develop and execute data migration processes and integrations to legacy systems
Design and develop SSRS web based reports for use within the Dynamics AX environment
Work with functional team to design, test, and implement customizations
Provide end-user training and end-user suppor
Provide support to sales and consulting teams by presenting technical concepts and functionality of development tools
Supports service estimations for development tasks

Perform ongoing development services to existing clients as needed via email/phone support and on-site visits
Attain product certifications as necessary

Qualifications:

Strong development experience with ERP platforms including Dynamics GP, SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle, Navision, BAAN or PeopleSoft
Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, accounting, finance, mathematics, or equivalent
Experience with Object Oriented Programming Models
Solid understanding of the .NET Framework and related technologies
Experience using Agile Development methodology
Knowledge of supporting Microsoft Technologies including MS SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services , MS SharePoint, MS Business Intelligence
Experience building custom applications, modifications, integrations, data conversion routines and custom reports
Possesses a professional presence suitable for direct client interaction by telephone or in-person
Ability to translate experience to creatively solve client business, process and application issues
Excellent organizational skills, attention to quality, self-motivation and a desire to succeed

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Dynamics AX 2012 development methodologies a plus
Knowledge and experience with C# development a plus
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server a plus
Knowledge and experience with data migration/integration tools a plus
Knowledge and experience of integrating data via web services a plus
Certification in Dynamics AX Development I,II or III a plus
