Microsoft Dynamics AX Financials Consultant

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site consulting services to implement Dynamics AX with a focus on the Financials modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash and Bank Management, Fixed Assets and other financial focused areas as needed based upon the needs of the project
  • Understand, communicate, interpret, and document business processes and requirements
  • Create and develop design specifications including gap/fit analysis documentation
  • Configure Dynamics AX environment to meet client requirements
  • Work with technical team to design, test, and implement customizations
  • Provide end-user training and end-user support throughout the implementation
  • Perform ongoing support services to existing clients as needed via email/phone support and on-site visits
  • Utilize ERP implementation standards and tools/documents
  • Attain product certifications as necessary

Requirements:

  • Dynamics AX implementation experience and participation in at least 1 full life cycle implementation or 3+ years large scale ERP implementation experience (JD Edwards, SAP, Epicor 9, etc.) required
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, logistics management, computer science or information systems or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Technologies (MS SQL Server, MS .NET, MS SharePoint, MS Business Intelligence)
  • Ability to translate experience in distribution or manufacturing environments to creatively solve client business/application issues
  • Experience with modeling business process and translating requirements into a business application
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills targeted to effectively present information to C-level management, public groups, and/or board of directors
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to quality, self-motivation, and a desire to succeed
  • Possess business consulting, project definition, estimating, sales, and strategic and tactical planning skills for engagements
  • Possess a professional presence suitable for direct client interaction by telephone or in-person

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Dynamics AX Financials, Trade and Logistics, or Production a plus
  • Project Management and/or experience with best practice implementation methodologies a plus
  • APICS/CPA/CPIM certification a plus
