How to download and install the tax table updates (TTUs)

Notes:

  • The first-quarter TTUs must be installed after year-end processing is complete and before the first payroll of the new year is processed. In general, the last payroll period should be completed before installing the new TTUs.
  • The TTUs are not version specific unless stated otherwise. The current TTUs can be installed on any supported version of Sage MAS 90 or 200.
  • All users must exit Sage MAS 90 or 200 before installing TTUs.

How to download and install TTUs:

  1. Log on to Sage Software Online
  2. Click the Support tab, and click the Sage MAS 90 and MAS 200 link.
  3. In the Download area, and click the Tax Table Updates link.
  4. Click the Download the TTU link for the desired tax table. The download link and instructions specific to the TTU version appear.
  5. Print the page, and carefully read the instructions.
  6. Click the download link (for example: 2005Q1TTU.exe). The File Download message displays. Perform either of the following procedures:
    • To install the TTU from Sage Software Online:
      1. Have all users exit Sage MAS 90 or 200.
      2. Click the Open button (or click Run this program from its current location).
      3. Click Yes at the security warning.
    • To install the TTUs from the hard drive:
      1. Click the Save button. The Save As window appears.
      2. Select the location to save the file. Save the file to the hard drive of the workstation that the TTUs will be installed from.
        Note: Do not save this program to a floppy disk.
      3. Have all users exit Sage MAS 90 or 200.
      4. In Windows Explorer, browse to the folder where the file is saved, and double-click the file.
  7. At the Tax Table Update – Installation Shield Wizard window, click Next.
  8. Click Yes to accept the licensing agreement.
  9. Select the destination folder.
    • If the destination folder to the Sage MAS 90 or 200 installation is correct, click Next.
    • If the destination folder is incorrect, click Change, and browse to the folder above the …\MAS90\ folder. (For example, if the full path is C:\Apps\Mas90\, browse to C:\Apps\).
  10. Click OK, and then click Next.
  11. If the current settings are correct, click the Install button.
  12. Click Finish at the “InstallShield Wizard Complete” message.
  13. Start Sage MAS 90 or 200. The message “Installing TTU…” appears.
  14. Verify that the installation completed successfully. Note the quarter and version in the TTU name and the release date listed in the following window:
    • For version 4.0 and later, expand Library Master and Reports. Double-click Installed Applications.
    • For version 3.71 and earlier, expand Library Master, and Utilities. Double-click Installed Applications Listing.
